The Middle Market Investment Banking Association® (MMIBA®) is a unique organization established to fill a void in the middle market investment banking community. The Association’s primary purposes are 1) to provide quality educational programs, including online (webinars), to enhance the knowledge, efficiency, and access to resources for those individuals providing merger & acquisition (M&A) services, and 2) to help such individuals more effectively promote themselves and their specialized expertise by obtaining MMIBA’s elite credential—Chartered Merger and Acquisition Professional® (CMAP), and through affiliation with a high-profile and highly respected group of M&A professionals. Further support is provided to members by directing and giving them access to related and pertinent resources, including expansive training in business valuation, financial forensics, exit strategies, and much more. To support the professional development of its members, the Association has also identified numerous highly recommended books, articles, and publications. In addition, MMIBA provides an online member directory for members to use to network within the M&A community, share transaction opportunities, and provide broad exposure to prospective users of members’ services. All of this, coupled with an annual conference held each spring, creates the perfect foundation for both aspiring and seasoned M&A professionals to access all the resources and network support necessary to thrive in the highly lucrative field of middle market M&A.

MMIBA has partnered with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) to provide administrative, back-office, and infrastructure support, areas in which NACVA excels, having provided services to 7,000-plus members for over 20 years. All of MMIBA’s educational services, including its dozens of webinars slated for the next year, will be offered through NACVA’s training arm—the Consultants’ Training Institute (CTI)—which is regarded nationwide as the premier training organization for quality, execution, and instruction in areas of niche specialty for business and financial consulting professionals. All members of NACVA have a complementary membership to MMIBA. One can also join MMIBA and receive a complementary membership to NACVA.
